About Rehability

Dr. Erin Martz founded the company Rehability in 2010 and converted it to Rehability, LLC in 2019. Dr. Martz is a certified rehabilitation counselor and has worked in the field of rehabilitation counseling for over 25 years. Rehability has been an employment network for the Social Security Administration's Ticket to Work program since 2010. Her company exists to provide rehabilitation/vocational counseling to individuals with a range of chronic health conditions and disabilities who want to return to work. Her physical office is located in Vancouver, Washington, USA, but she offers virtual services for individuals on SSDI or SSI across the United States.

Dr. Martz's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Education and Research from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville (2002), and a M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling from  California State University, San Bernardino (1999). Besides her work as a rehabilitation counselor and vocational expert for SSA, she has published numerous scientific articles related to rehabilitation topics, and edited 3 books (Promoting self-management of chronic health conditions: Theories and practice. New York: Oxford University Press in 2017; Trauma rehabilitation after war and conflict: Community and individual perspectives. New York: Springer in 2010; and Coping with chronic illness and disability: Theoretical, empirical, and clinical aspects. New York: Springer, co-edited with Dr. Hanoch Livneh in 2007).                        

Erin enjoys day-hikes in the Columbia Gorge and in the mountains of Oregon and Washington, as well as in national parks. She also enjoys cultural events in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area, as well as international exploration.
